Kempty Falls

Part of the Mussoorie Trip 2025 - Tucked away in the hills, Kempty Falls is where adventure meets calm vibes and breathtaking views – easily one of the best parts of my Mussoorie trip!

Kempty Falls

Nature's Shower in the Hills

Kempty Falls is one of the most popular tourist spots near Mussoorie, famous for its scenic beauty and refreshing charm. The waterfall cascades gracefully into a clear pool, surrounded by lush green hills and cool mountain air, making it a perfect escape from city life. Visitors can enjoy a dip in the chilly waters, ride the ropeway, or simply relax by the stream while savoring local snacks. The sound of gushing water and the serene surroundings make it an ideal spot for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts alike.

My Experience

I first arrived at Library Chowk in Mussoorie, where we stopped near a Gurudwara to freshen up. The facilities were neat, and we only had to pay a small fee, which was totally worth it. After that, my two friends and I clicked a few photos together before catching a bus from Library Chowk around 11 AM. The ride to Kempty Falls was scenic, with breathtaking views of the hills and valleys all along the way. Upon reaching, we took the ropeway down to the base of the waterfall – a fun experience in itself! Once there, we purchased swimming costumes and jumped straight into the cool stream under the waterfall. It was refreshing, exciting, and filled with laughter as we clicked plenty of photos and enjoyed every moment. After an hour or so of fun, we took the ropeway back, grabbed hot Maggi and tea from a nearby hill shop, and relaxed while soaking in the mountain air. Finally, around 3 PM, we headed back towards Library Chowk, still buzzing with the energy of this hidden paradise in the hills!
